Everyday, 6 kids walk into a room. One wall red, one wall black. A master switch is flipped and the energy comes to life. Some say those five don’t know what they’re getting into, but we can tell you they do. Never do they not drop one tear of sweat. Determined and filled with talent, that seems as if that all they were ever good at. The temperature of the room, builds with every move, and the energy seems to pull more and more. But coming out of that room, comes a band by the name of This Romantic Tragedy.
Located on the outskirts of the fabulous Las Vegas strip, This Romantic Tragedy is one of the rare Screamo/Hardcore/Exp erimental bands in local showcase. Started in 2004, David Diaz and Kyle Huender started out the band as a punk garage band with the name Anti-Zero, but It quickly accelerated into from a hobbie to job and changed to the name of This Romantic Tragedy. Influenced by Chiodos, Underoath, and The Devil Wears Prada, to Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Circa Survive and With Jay Cammilleri on Vocals, David Diaz on Lead Guitar, Kyle Huender on Rhythm Guitar, Carlin Leavitt on Bass, Mark Neuhardt on Drums, and Gabe Centeno on Keyboards, each of them have taken those influences and combined them into almost one new genre.
This Romantic Tragedy has played with various bands such as A Static Lullaby, Emarosa, and Sky Eats Airplane, as well as local acts such as Eyes Like Diamonds, Last Years Forecast, and The Harbor at some of the cities well known venues.. They are currently working on new material, and preparing to record them for a new EP, planned to come out Winter 2007.
