No matter who I've been and who I've been with
I always seem to find myself back in your arms with your lips against mine,
If not in reality then always in my mind
Past my old mentality, that kept me so behind.
And yes I’m really flattered, that I’m that guy to you,
That hits me deep inside, you know I’d never lie to you.
I know the timing’s not ideal; you may want to give it up,
But... forget the norms, forget the rules, forget the date as such.
Because I do. I know you do too.
It’s what we do, that’ll help us pull this through.
So say ah, oh-ah, oh-oh. I said ah, oh-ah, oh-oh.
I like you... You. Even when we’re far apart,
And like you... You. I cannot still my beating heart.
Because even though it’s not ideal I’d never give it up,
I hope you feel the same way too, because I can’t get enough.
Because I do. I know you do too.
It’s what we do, that’ll help us pull this through.
So say ah, oh-ah, oh-oh. I said ah, oh-ah, oh-oh.
At the end of the year.
Let me make it perfectly clear.
I’m guessing you’d rather throw a punch at me,
Than let us wither like a dying tree.
Ah, oh-ah, oh-oh. Ah, oh-ah, oh-oh.
Because I do. I know you do too.
It’s what we do, that’ll help us pull this through.
So say ah, oh-ah, oh-oh. I said ah, oh-ah, oh-oh.
I don’t feel much… These days.
I know my heart stops, sometimes.
I-I c-can’t s-say much… T-t-t-today.
I wish my heart wouldn’t drop, at night.
The beating matches walking pace, I can’t get my mind off your face.
Staring right through me from your window; were two perfect eyes, full of tears though.
The beating matches walking pace, I can’t get my mind off your face.
Staring right through me from your window; were two perfect eyes, full of tears though.
I struggled with walking as I slowly but surely made my way down your street.
I just couldn’t bear it with the smell of your hair fresh in my mind and sweet.
Making uneven steps as the fall of my feet begins to echo my heartbeat.
But I promise I’m coming back, I’ll always be coming back.
The beating matches walking pace, I can’t get my mind off your face.
Staring right through me from your window; were two perfect eyes, full of tears though.
The beating matches walking pace, I can’t get my mind off your face.
Staring right through me from your window; were two perfect eyes, full of tears though.
I punched a hole in the wall last night.
I punched a hole in the wall last night.
I punched a hole in the wall last night…
Hurt me when you’re drunk. Hate me when you’re done.
Keep me up for hours because you know I’m in your power.
I love you when you’re near; you love me when I’m here.
But when we’re far apart it won’t take long for stuff to start. Up… Like a fire.
Become a heart for hire.
I’m your heart for hire.
Don’t let me go, don’t let me go; don’t let me go, Tayer no.
Take me for a ride. Hang me out to dry
Keep me in a cool dry place where you’ll never have to see me cry.
I’ll perform for you, I’ll enjoy it too.
I’ll perform for you if it’s the final thing I do as your heart for hire.
Become a heart for hire.
I’m your heart for hire.
Don’t let me go, don’t let me go; don’t let me go, Tayer no.
You can’t understand quite what I mean when I explain
That you can have me when you like, I’m just your meaningless play thing to play with.
I’ve got a tragic one to tell, these past few days I’ve been through hell. My summer’s ruined pretty well.
See there’s a girl I love too much, and we had plans to keep in touch but they’ve been crushed we’re out of luck.
A spell of lust after the rain, I took their trust she got the blame. It’s sadly reasonable I know.
But now for one time in my life I’d like for things to just go right, and I’d give anything I own.
Spare a penny, spare a pound to help her pick up off the ground.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury.
Fly her out here safe and sound, fly her out to be around.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury.
I will admit I drank too much, I couldn’t quite resist her touch but nothing happened I can swear.
It started out she wanted “more!” but we were careful stopped before things went too far, we didn’t dare.
It was an innocent mistake, not very difficult to make but I regret it every day.
I’d like to turn back these last weeks, and tell myself to stop and think. I wish they’d judge us the right way.
Spare a penny, spare a pound to help her pick up off the ground.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury.
Fly her out here safe and sound, fly her out to be around.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury. Get my girl to Glastonbury.
I’ll sell my books I’ll sell my clothes, if it’ll help her leave her home. I’ll sell my guitar on the street.
It’ll be worth it just to know she’s gonna make it on her own. Three measly days are all I need.
We’d walk across the sodden land; we’d gladly do it hand-in-hand. It doesn’t matter where we stand.
We’ve got connection me and her, we always have it’s obvious. We’ll make it happen if we can.
Spare a penny, spare a pound to help her pick up off the ground.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury.
Fly her out here safe and sound, fly her out to be around.
Let’s get my girl to Glastonbury.
With greasy poker hair and a shit-eating grin, it’s a fucking wonder any girl would let you in.
Your voice is so familiar; yeah I’ve heard it all before… In movies set in London about gangsters and their wars.
You must think you’re godly, with delusions of grandeur. I guess that’s what you thought when you put your arms around her.
You must think we’re swooning over funny things you say, but you’re an ugly pasty bastard and I wish you’d go away.
Cause you’re a dick.
You’re a dick.
You’re dick and you make me quite sick.
You’re a dick.
You’re a dick.
You’re a dick, you should realise it.
Another guy I know who’d fit into this little slot, is big and bad and 10 foot tall and thinks he’s got the lot.
Abandoning his friends to go and suck up to a crowd, who’ll laugh at him and put him down when his talent runs out.
I tried to give him time to see the light and come back home, instead he said “I’ll write a song that’s really not my own”.
His eggs are in one basket and one day he’ll stumble down, his eyes will look up to the sky but I won’t be around.
Cause he’s a dick.
Yeah he’s a dick.
He’s a dick and he makes me quite sick.
He’s a dick.
He’s a dick.
He’s a dick, he should realise it.
And I couldn’t care less what you think is success.
You’re getting all wrong. I’m singing you this song
To inform you of something, you really need telling.
Have you listened so far? Do you know what you are?
And I couldn’t care less what you think is success.
You’re getting all wrong. I’m singing you this song,
To inform you of something, you really need telling.
Have you listened so far? Do you know what you are?
You’re a dick.
You’re a dick.
You’re dick and you make me quite sick.
You’re a dick.
You’re a dick.
You’re a dick, you should realise it

Having started a page here at UG over a year ago now, with various random mp3s I thought it was finally time to create a dedicated artist page.
I've been playing guitar for several years, singing almost as long, and seriously composing for about 2. Music is my passion and to create it is a blessing on my life.
Please take a moment to give the songs here some feedback, good or bad, so that I know what to improve on. Cheers
