Catfish Isle

Oh, the waves of grayish green,
Remind me of the fish unseen.
Never looked upon, only felt.
They swim along and brush against your belt.

Oh, the catfish of yonder,
Move as if guided by a transponder.
I have yet to see them,
But am always surrounded.

Oh, grasses of sand,
Swishing from the force of my hand,
How do I know they are Catfish?
For they are of Catfish Isle.

A Stable Constant

The morning light dimmers to a standstill.
Somewhere, a car is left to rust.
Life is stable, life is constant.

I walk to the bus stop.
Knees throbbing from previous nights sleep.
As I sit, the world moves through darkness.
Growing in pace, yet still unnoticeable.
Life is stable, Life is constant.

Radiant heat is a oven,
In which the cake a life comes.
Different flavors, different styles,
Yet still the same in principle.

As a mole burrows through the ground,
He encounters our lasting impressions on Earth.

Light of Life

A man lies in bed,
His body worn foot to head.
His limbs withered,
Arms battered,
Motionless there as he lay.

Though his family sobs,
Their hearts sink and throb.
Better years have passed,
As he gives his final gasp.
The after light of light appears.

An infant lies in arms,
His body safe from harm.
His limbs nimble,
Arms vital,
Flailing around as he lay.

As he gives his first gasp.
The first light of life appears.
