Influences
Life mostly. The darker emotions felt throughout its course. Sadness, grief, sorrow, nostalgia. Though often tranquillity and joy can also be quite inspiring. Also my beloved is often a source of inspiration. Various of my own philosophical concepts as well as ]random[ visions inspired by given ideas, thoughts and moments with various people ]though mostly with my Love, Brie.[

But bands that have impacted me in one way or another are... my favorites... often with thoughts of grandeur and beauty in many different ways and mediums... whether through darkness or light or just mere riffing prowess.

My favorite bands are as follows

Buried Dreams, At the Gates, Vehemence, Eucharist, Dark Flood, The Black Dahlia Murder, Casketgarden, Sins of Omission (SWE), Dark Tranquillity, Behind The Scenery, As Eden Burns, Lothlorien (SWE), Intestine Baalism, Fatal Embrace (SWE), Underthreat, Dark Lunacy, Artrosis (Hidden Dimension), Lacrimosa, Inferi, Quo Vadis, Ablaze My Sorrow and Abigail Williams and Rata Blanca, to name the most resonant names in my mind... in relative order...

However, Classical composers were also quite inspiring to me, such as Antonio Vivaldi and his Four Seasons (mostly Summer 1st and 3rd mvts and the 1st mvt of Winter); Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (Mvt 1 and 3), Fur Elise, and the 5th symphony; J.S. Bach's Toccatta and Fugue as well as other miscellaneous works. Vittorio Monti's Czardas ...and lastly, Paganini and his melodic structure (but namely, the 24th caprice)

Various other traditional songs from Mexico and South America as well as Tango are quite awesome (mostly when the melodies are dark...)

Well, I picked up the guitar in the summer of 2005 I believe, I started by rehearsing the intro to Dark Tranquillity's Punish My Heaven, At the Gates' Under a Serpent Sun and In Flames' Artifacts of Black Rain while in Guitar class (at school... teacher didnt really have much knowledge... lol.) However uh after managing through bits of those songs I attempted Arch Enemy's Silverwing which I got pretty much all the way, the solos werent that good and to this day I use the same acoustic to play, create music and have fun with it...

The day came when I got ahold of an electric thanks to my friend Jesus, but uh... shortly after, the guitar's inside wiring got screwed somehow and financial trouble began raping me so hence my enjoyment with said electric lasted a week or two at best and yet to be fixed.

As for my vision in music... it encompasses just about anything... save for arts that piss me off such as Rap and all that bullshit-the medium also doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. I play all kinds of styles, I guess... Death Metal, Black Metal, Thrash Metal, though my foundation is what would be referred to as Melodic Death Metal... both kinds, modern and truer to its name.

However, I dont limit myself to styles, I play anything that will fit the concept and mood of the song I happen to be working on regardless of genre. I just make songs about my views in life, experiences, ideas, and concepts, as well as visions often inspired by my lover, Brie, and random things in our relationship.

I rarely make or enjoy upbeat music, by nature such melodies are repellant to me, henceforth most of what I listen to and love is nostalgic, depressing or sad melodies... generally dwelling in that side of the emotional spectrum. Dark melodies are amazing as well I must add... Though I wont limit myself by this either... there are a few of my songs and/or parts of my songs that arent devoid of joy or happiness... but those instances are rather rare. I often have Classical influences in my melodies and what not, sometimes even latin makes its way into it. I like dramatic melodies.

I make music to please my need to create and indulge myself in my creations as well as metaphorize random happenings and express ]random[ concepts through music. I like for my music to envision what the concept behind it is... even if its just to me.

A last bit... Im rather passionate about music and I will always enjoy in-depth conversation and analysis of it :) thanks, and I hope you like my music! It is always warming to have people relate. :D
