Formed in early 2007 in Sydney Australia, Ascendancy is a talented progressive metal band. Founding members include Ben Funayama on keyboards and rhythm guitar, Lewis Clark on lead guitar and Morgan Carter on percussion; all have been playing music for over five years. After winning the school Battle of the Bands Competition in 2007, a new member, Anthony Marsden, was inducted into the band as a bassist.
